April and her family moved to South Carolina from Kentucky in 2019 and are happy to now call Anderson “home.” She received a BA in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and brings over ten years of non-profit experience to First Light. April and her husband, Austin, have four spectacular children and their house is filled with an abundance of noise, books, and love.

What do you love about your job?
I truly believe we live in a community filled with people who want to help others. My position at First Light gives me the opportunity to build relationships and show people how they can make the biggest difference in the lives of the people most in need of our services.
