Recognizing the Signs

More than half of women and almost 1 in 3 men have experienced sexual violence involving physical contact during their lifetimes. Sexual violence has long-term effects on its survivors including PTSD, anxiety and depression, negative health behaviors (smoking, drinking, and drug use), and an increased risk for other forms of violence. The trauma from sexual violence may also impact a survivor’s employment. Time off work, decreased productivity, and diminished job performance are all possible consequences of sexual violence. The sooner employers recognize the signs, the sooner they can get their employees help.

We can teach your employees how to recognize the signs of sexual assault in their coworkers and help you make a plan for your organization’s response to a potential assault. If you’d like to request training, please fill out the form below.
